GREENSTUFF BOARDWAX MOVIE PERFORMANCE AWARDS 2007

Former pro surfers, Currumbin’s Brett Hodge and Cabarita’s Glen Winton survived a spirited late challenge from Rainbow Bay’s Jason Gale
when the Greenstuff Boardwax Movie Performance Awards for 2007 were handed out recently at contest HQ Montezuma’s Coolangatta.
The Performance Awards replaces judges on the beach with four movie cameras. During the editing process, a judging panel awards points.
The winners receive their prizes two weeks later at Montezuma’s when Gold Coast cinematographer, Luke Sorensen previews his movie.
70 surfers covering eight age divisions contested three rounds at Duranbah beach. Congratulations not only go to the surfers but also
to the 30 sponsors that provided over $20,000 worth of cash, prizes, trophies and giveaways.
